The Ambassador to Spain, Antonio Ecarri, was received during his official visit by the Lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu and the General Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Marian Elorza, with the aim of continuing to help the Venezuelan community in the Basque Country.
“We are grateful for the receptivity and solidarity that we have received in the Basque Country from the Lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, and the General Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Marian Elorza, for their commitment to continue helping the Venezuelan community in the Basque Country and the rescue of democracy in Venezuela,” said Ecarri.
The diplomat informed that among the topics discussed and analyzed at the meeting were: the situation of the Venezuelan community in the Basque country and the possible solutions to the problems that abound. There was also a discussion on the feasibility of providing information and access to housing and the labor market for migrants, who now number more than ten thousand in the region.
Ecarri is on an official tour of the Basque country, where he will also meet with the Venezuelan community and the representatives of the main local parties, in order to facilitate the social and labor insertion of Venezuelans.
