The Ambassador to Chile, Guarequena Gutiérrez, met with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Haiti in Chile, Fanfil Monesty Junior.
During the meeting, Monesty expressed Haiti’s desire to support Venezuela in the recovery of its democracy.
“Fanfil sent greetings to our President (E) Juan Guaidó, and all the Venezuelan people, from the Haitian Foreign Minister, with whom he spoke shortly before the diplomatic meeting,” Gutiérrez said.
The Venezuelan representative described the meeting as productive because the Haitian business representative expressed his country’s desire to contribute to the restoration of democracy in Venezuela.
Ambassador Guarequena Gutiérrez explained the current migration situation that Venezuelans are experiencing and that has common problems with the Haitian community.
She also spoke about the political situation in Venezuela and what are the most efficient and sustainable ways to achieve the cessation of usurpation, such as a sentence from the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
They agreed to have meetings after the next meeting of the group in Lima and to continue consolidating strategic alliances from Chile.
