The ambassador to Romania, Mario Massone, denounced to the international community the serious situation of political prisoners, especially the deputy Juan Requesens, who has been unjustly imprisoned for two years without a trial by the forces of the regime.
“We want to denounce not only the violation of the parliamentary immunity and human rights of our deputy Juan Requesens, but also other members of the Venezuelan parliament, such as Gilber Caro and Renzo Prieto,” said the ambassador who revealed the serious state of health of the parliamentarians.
Massone said that like the deputies there are other political prisoners, who are in precarious conditions and suffer cruel treatment. On the other hand, he denounced that the regime does not respect the due process of their unjust imprisonment and prevents them from receiving visits.
The diplomat asked the international community to take stronger action to put an end to the violation of human rights by the dictatorship in the country.
“We need more pressure. We Venezuelans will continue to insist until we achieve a change in Venezuela,” he said.
