The ambassador to Chile, Carlos Millán, held a meeting this Wednesday with his Canadian counterpart Michael Gort with whom he spoke about the efforts to regain democracy in Venezuela and respect for human rights of those who are affected by Maduro’s regime every day.
“I had the honor of speaking with the Canadian Ambassador to Chile, Michael Gort, to whom I thanked the support received from his country in defense of the Human Rights of Venezuelans. Thank you, Canada!” said Ambassador Millán at the end of the meeting.
For his part, Ambassador Gort, indicated “it was a pleasure to meet Carlos Millán with whom I spoke about the current situation in Venezuela and the fact that Canada does not recognize the results of the December 6th elections because the process did not comply with the minimum conditions for a free and fair exercise of Democracy.”
After the meeting, the embassy in Chile sent a message through its social network accounts where it thanked the Government of Canada “for recognizing the struggle of the Interim Government of Venezuela.”
