The Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Vanessa Neumann, reiterated the regime’s links with terrorist groups and stressed that Maduro himself, as Foreign Minister, signed agreements with groups linked to Iran.
“Nicolas Maduro signed bilateral cooperation agreements with the Ayatollah, Qasem Soleimani, and the IRGC (designated as a terrorist group by the United States) when he was the foreign minister of his predecessor, Hugo Chavez,” Neumann said.
Similarly, the Venezuelan diplomat stated that “under Maduro’s mandate as Foreign Minister, officers from the Quds force (a division of the IRGC in charge of clandestine operations and extraterritorial military campaigns) created companies in Venezuela that serve as a front for money laundering from illicit trade and installed training camps in our country.”
“Nicolas Maduro provides material support to global terrorism led by Iran,” the diplomatic representative said.
The Venezuelan ambassador to the United Kingdom encouraged the world’s nations to support President Guaidó and increase pressure against the dictatorship.
“Venezuelans need the world’s democracies and those concerned with the war against global terrorism to help us enforce our constitution, by supporting our legitimate President Juan Guaidó and removing terrorists and narco-criminals from our country,” she said.
