“The masks of the corrupt in our country are falling, and they are fully identified before the world. For this reason, we celebrate this new sanctions of European Union against 11 usurper politicians,” said Venezuela’s ambassador to Belgium, Mary Ponte, on Monday.
The ambassador began her participation indicating that “we have worked from all sides to promote a transition to democracy in Venezuela, through free and fair elections with guarantees. On the contrary, the regime is determined to close all possibilities and has decided to assume the violence by ‘fleeing forward’.”
“Consequently, the international community is once again speaking out, and today is giving a clear signal by sanctioning Luis Parra along with 10 other members of the narco-terrorist regime, thus saying to those who side with those who violate human rights and violate the rule of law time and again, that their actions will not go unpunished,” Ponte said.
The diplomat said that “we know that the European Union has other representatives of the regime identified and is preparing to move forward with individual sanctions.
“The world is going to continue to put pressure on the corrupt people who have stolen democracy from the Venezuelans, and in this way these sanctions that are being announced today are a fundamental step. Venezuela, we continue to fight for you, so that sooner or later we can restore freedom and democracy in our tricolor land,” said the ambassador as a final comment.
In response to this action, the narco-terrorist regime reacted abruptly and violently, expelling the head of the European Union delegation in Venezuela, Isabel Brihante Pedrosa, and urging her to leave the country within the next 72 hours.
