The ambassador to the United States, Carlos Vecchio, applauded the decision of the U.S. Treasury Department to include in its list of sanctions the Pan American Corporation of Cuba, an intermediary company used by the state-owned Cubametales, to commercialize Venezuelan oil.
In this sense, the Venezuelan diplomat assured Corporación Panamericana de Cuba that it served as a bridge to “evade sanctions” that had been imposed on the state-owned Cubametales.
“With the support of allies, we continue to cut off the regimes of Maduro and Cuba from the criminal looting of Venezuela,” said Ambassador Vecchio through his official Twitter account.
