The Ambassador to Canada, Orlando Viera-Blanco, denounced the death of political prisoner Gabriel Medina, who was kidnapped, kept in the dungeons of the Nicolás Maduro dictatorship and died without receiving medical attention.
“Medina is evidence that being imprisoned in Venezuela is a death sentence,” Amb. Viera-Blanco said in a message posted on his Twitter account.
This new victim of the Maduro dictatorship, who was only 39 years old, lost his life because he did not receive timely medical care to forestall the respiratory failure that he suffered.
“It is a sine qua condition for a negotiation to free political prisoners,” concluded the Venezuelan diplomat.
