This Wednesday the journalist and political prisoner Roland Carreño suffered a hypertensive crisis at the headquarters of the Maripérez Bolivarian National Police (PNB) in the city of Caracas, where he is held kidnapped by Nicolás Maduro’s regime.
The ambassadors to Canada and Peru, Orlando Viera-Blanco and Carlos Scull respectively, demanded the release of Carreño and all the political prisoners.
“Roland Carreño suffered a hypertensive crisis and was not taken to a care center,” condemned Ambassador Viera-Blanco through his Twitter account.
The Ambassador to Canada denounced his delicate state of health and demanded respect for his human rights. “We ask that the calls for freedom made by nations like Canada and international organizations be respected,” he added.
“Every agreement must contemplate that no one is imprisoned for thinking differently,” he said.
Mr. Roland Carreño has been held prisoner for more than 300 days at the headquarters of the Bolivarian National Police, where his constitutional rights and the due process of his case have been violated, keeping him isolated from his family and lawyers.
