The Diplomatic Representative to Argentina, Elisa Trotta Gamus, thanked the countries that make up the International Contact Group for their support of the negotiation process in Mexico.
“We hope to find a solution that allows us to rescue democracy and with it, put an end to the Complex Humanitarian Emergency that our country is experiencing,” she said through her Twitter account.
Trotta regretted that Argentina did not sign the declaration on Venezuela.
“We do not understand the reasons for this decision, since the Argentine government itself has repeatedly mentioned the need for agreements,” she said.
Ms. Trotta denounced that 1,500 people flee every day from Venezuela due to the humanitarian crisis in the country, in addition child malnutrition has increased and rights do not exist.
“It is time for solutions and to this end the democrats of the world must help, not look the other way,” she said.
