The Director of Consular Affairs of the Embassy in the United States (USA), Brian Fincheltub, assured that since the dictatorship of Hugo Chávez nationalized the gas industry, many Venezuelans now need to cook with firewood.
“Since the dictatorship put its hand in the distribution of gas, the bottles are conspicuous in their absence and if they are found, they are paid in foreign currency,” he said through his personal twitter account.
Likewise, in the face of the gas crisis the nation is experiencing, he reproached Nicolás Maduro’s regime for giving away gas to Mexico.
The dictatorship has forced millions of families to cook with firewood, exposing themselves to respiratory diseases and dangerous fires.
Mexico has had severe gas cuts due to the emergency suffered in Texas due to low temperatures. Faced with this, dictator Maduro proposed the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador to convert the state oil company PDVSA into a safe supplier of gas for the North American nation.
