The diplomatic representative of the National Assembly in Argentina, Ambassador Elisa Trotta Gamus, accompanied this Wednesday the protest called by the Cuban exiles in front of the Cuban Embassy in Buenos Aires to support the fight for freedom on the island.
Trotta Gamus arrived at the demonstration accompanied by a group of Venezuelans shouting “Venezuela and Cuba, the same fight.”
Speaking to the media, the diplomatic representative highlighted “the courage and gallantry of Cubans, especially Cuban youth, who after so many years under a dictatorship decide to take to the streets to express themselves.”
“As Venezuelans we consider that the Cuban struggle and the Venezuelan struggle are the same struggle. That is why we are here representing our people. We know that they are two closely linked dictatorships, and the freedom of Cuba unfailingly means the freedom of Venezuela,” she said.
