Human rights activist and defender Lilian Tintori held a meeting in Madrid with the Venezuelan ambassador to Spain, Antonio Ecarri, where they discussed the importance of continuing to aggregate international efforts and support to overcome the complex humanitarian emergency facing Venezuela.
“I explained the work done by Rescate Venezuela, which brings humanitarian aid to the communities most affected by the complex humanitarian emergency”, Tintori said in a message posted on Twitter.
“From Spain we continue working to obtain more international support. With the help of Venezuelans in Venezuela and outside our country. Our commitment is to continue fighting for freedom”, added the activist.
For his part, Ambassador Ecarri said the meeting was held to discuss the difficulties of Venezuelan migrants in Spain and the efforts made by the Venezuelan embassy to overcome them.
The Venezuelan diplomat commented on the work he has done together with the Spanish government and society to work for the safety and welfare of Venezuelan migrants arriving in the country.
