Ambassador to the United States, Carlos Vecchio, applauded the sanctions imposed by the Trump administration against the president of the National Electoral Council (CNE) of the dictatorship and other Chavista officials.
Vechio informed that the sanctions imposed by the Treasury Department were directed to the illegitimate Maira Alfonzo Izaguirre and José Luis Parra, “pseudo-rectors” of the CNE appointed by Maduro’s dictatorship as part of the conspiracy for the new 6D electoral fraud, with which they intend to annihilate the National Assembly”.
The Venezuelan ambassador also announced the sanctions aimed at “Reinaldo Enrique Muñoz Pedroza, allegedly the regime’s attorney general, who permanently tries to hinder the efforts of the legitimate Interim Government and the National Assembly to defend the interests of Venezuelans and the nation’s transition to democracy.”
In addition, Vecchio highlighted that this new batch of sanctions includes David de Lima, “who served as the operator of Operation Scorpion, through which up to US$1 million was paid to buy traitorous deputies to undermine the legitimate National Assembly. All this in connection with Maduro’s front man, Alex Saab.”
“We thank the Treasury Department, the State Department and the administration of President Donald Trump for their permanent actions against those who attack the Venezuelan people. Together with the Interim Government of President Juan Guaidó we will continue fighting against fraud and until conquer a Free Venezuela”, he affirmed.
