The Ambassador to the United States, Carlos Vecchio, thanked the President in charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, and the deputies of the National Assembly, for making effective the first payments of the Heroes of Health plan.
“Our deepest gratitude to the deputies of the National Assembly and President Juan Guadó for keeping their promise to Venezuela and acting with deep social conviction in favor of the Heroes of Health, one of the sectors most affected by the dictatorship,” he said.
Vecchio affirmed “this support to the Healthcare Heroes becomes a support to all Venezuelans because they have the capacity and determination to help save the lives of other compatriots”.
“More than 100 health professionals have died in Venezuela since the beginning of the pandemic because the criminal dictatorship did not provide them with supplies for their personal protection and continue saving lives. This support is an incentive to continue,” he said.
The Venezuelan diplomatic representative also took the opportunity to thank the United States authorities “for all their support in the recovery and protection of Venezuela’s assets, but also for helping us to guarantee the implementation of these social programs with absolute transparency,” he concluded.
