U.S. Ambassador Carlos Vecchio highlighted measures taken by the legitimate government of president-in-charge Juan Guaidó and Venezuela’s international allies to protect the country’s assets.
“Assets of the nation like CITGO are safe from the tentacles of Maduro’s criminal and corrupt dictatorship,” the Venezuelan diplomat explained.
This message was sent by the ambassador after the U.S. Treasury Department’s measure of ratification to protect the assets of the Venezuelan state.
This measure establishes that no creditor can obtain embargo measures or other judicial decisions against properties blocked in Venezuela, thus preventing the country from losing its international assets due to the million-dollar debt generated by Nicolas Maduro’s dictatorship.
