The Ambassador to the United States, Carlos Vecchio, condemned the silence of the dictatorship, after security agents of Nicolás Maduro’s regime murdered more than 40 prisoners in a Portuguesa State prison.
“This is the lockdown in Venezuela: more than 40 prisoners murdered . A condemnable massacre,” Vecchio said after the massacre in which, also, there were approximately 50 wounded, some seriously.
The Venezuelan diplomat condemned that the dictatorship, instead of focusing its efforts on clarifying what happened, “manipulates the information and the investigation. It is the decline of a country controlled by a mafia,” he ended.
