“The Venezuelan Embassy in the United States will carry out this Saturday, October 10th, in Doral, Florida, an activity to deliver free food aid to extend a helping hand to those who need it most in the midst of the pandemic”. This was informed by the commercial attaché of the Venezuelan diplomatic mission, Fernando Blasi, and the cultural attaché Romy Moreno.
“In this alliance with Feeding South Florida, a non-profit organization with great experience in providing food aid as a social support mechanism, we continue to implement free food delivery days to extend a helping hand to our Venezuelan and Hispanic brothers and sisters. Many families continue to be affected by the consequences of the pandemic and additionally, we are very aware of the Venezuelan citizens stranded in the United States because of Nicolas Maduro’s irresponsibility,” said Blasi.
Moreno explained that the activity will be held between 9:00 AM and 11:00 PM, in the parking lot of the Goal Station Futbox, located at 3508 NW 114th Avenue, Doral, FL 33178. “On this occasion, thanks to the contribution of Feeding South Florida and with the support of volunteers from the same Venezuelan Diaspora, 500 food kits will be distributed which will include fruits, vegetables, non-perishable foods and dairy products, among others. These foods do not have any cost for the Embassy or the Republic of Venezuela, nor for the citizens, since the kits are provided in sealed boxes directly by the Food Banks,” he said.
Under the program #EmbassyVEContigo, the Venezuelan Embassy has carried out social assistance days in Houston and Katy, in Texas; as well as in Doral, Miami and Kendall. Additionally, through www.us.embajadavenezuela.org the Venezuelan community in the United States can consult with its Zip Code, the free food aid distribution days that food banks carry out throughout the United States.
“For the interim government of President Juan Guaidó, support for all Venezuelans, those within Venezuela, but also those who have had to emigrate as a result of the crisis generated by Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship, is a priority concern. We continue in the fight for freedom and simultaneously, attending as a diplomatic mission, the needs of our Venezuelan brothers in the United States”, concluded Fernando Blasi.
