The High Commissioner of the United Nations (UN) Organization for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, presented an update of the report on the violation of Human Rights (DD.HH.) in Venezuela by Nicolas Maduro’s regime. Bachelet confirmed that the crisis in the country covers all aspects, from the economic to food, affecting not only the nation but the entire region.
Faced with this new report, the ambassador to Colombia, Humberto Calderon Berti, said that the document “ratifies the tragedy that Venezuela is going through due to the atrocities executed by the usurper Nicolás Maduro. In addition, her report highlights that the dictator’s policies are a threat to the region.”
“Maduro’s usurper regime dragged Venezuelans into the worst economic crisis in the region; they brought shortages to our country, today they are systematically assassinating Venezuelans”, said Calderon Berti through his personal Twitter account.
The emissary of President (E) Juan Guaidó, also emphasized that the UN document confirms the allegations made by the government in charge of the torture of political leaders and officials of the National Armed Forces: “Today these are impossible to hide for Maduro’s dictatorship. This report, where Bachelet confirms it, must be replicated by all those who defend human rights.”
Calderon Berti culminated his message saying that those who make up Maduro’s regime “made the mistake of believing that the UN would not report on the systematic violation of human rights against Venezuelans, but they were surprised by the Bachelet report.”
