The Government of Argentina recognized Elisa Trotta Gamus as Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in an act presided by Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie.
With the presentation of the credentials, the Government of Argentina ratified its support for the struggle to rescue democracy and freedom in Venezuela, and increased its pressure on the regime of Nicolás Maduro.
“We appreciate the commitment of Argentina. Without a doubt, this country has been a fundamental ally in the defense of human rights and freedom in Venezuela, and we hope that this will continue. We keep moving forward, and every step we take means a victory in this fight to end the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela”, said the Ambassador.
Trotta Gamus was appointed diplomatic representative of Venezuela on January 29, by the president in charge Juan Guaidó with the authorization of the National Assembly.
Since then, it has maintained a close relationship with the Argentine authorities with the purpose of serving Venezuelan migrants and refugees, protecting the assets of Venezuela in the country, and intensifying pressure on the dictatorship to achieve the cessation of usurpation and hold free presidential elections.
