The Ambassador to Canada, Orlando Viera-Blanco, met with Foreign Minister François-Philippe Champagne, who confirmed to the Venezuelan diplomat Canada’s commitment to the restoration of democracy in Venezuela.
“I want to tell you, Ambassador, that the heart of Canada is with its people and with its President Juan Guaidó and we will continue to do what is necessary for a prosperous and happy Venezuela. I have very good friends in Venezuela. I had the honor of knowing your beautiful country. And we will continue to move forward together towards a better future,” said Francois-Philippe Champagne.
For his part, Ambassador Viera-Blanco said, on behalf of the Legitimate Government, “we are very proud and honored to have the firm and renewed support of Canada, one of the most important and exemplary democracies in the world, and I am sure that this country will play a fundamental role in the solution of the Venezuelan crisis and in the democratic transition towards a new era of recovery, peace and development in Venezuela.
“Thank you Canada for your solidarity and brotherhood with our people and with the leadership of President Juan Guaidó Marquez,” concluded the Venezuelan ambassador.
