The Minister Counselor of the Embassy to the United States, Gustavo Marcano, celebrated the approval of the TRUTH Act in the U.S. Senate, as a measure of pressure against Maduro’s dictatorship.
“The TRUTH Act, approved by the U.S. Senate, will boost the international force against Maduro’s dictatorship,” the Venezuelan diplomat said on Twitter.
Marcano explained that with this regulation, “we are contemplating increasing efforts to globalize sanctions, assist the Venezuelan people and achieve the end of the narco-regime.”
Similarly, the Venezuelan official said that this law “reaffirms the support of the United States to the Venezuelan people.”
“The recognition of the Venezuelan National Assembly as the only legitimate power, and the president in charge, Juan Guaidó, now has legal status in the United States,” he concluded.
