Ambassador to the United States Carlos Vecchio reiterated the legitimacy of Juan Guaidó as President (E) of Venezuela, after dictator Nicolás Maduro referred to him as a “traitor” at an event in Caracas.
The diplomat assured that the attitude of the dictatorship only ratifies the work of the interim government to achieve democracy in Venezuela.
“When the usurping narco-terrorist dictator babbles such nonsense he ratifies that we are on the right track,” he said.
Vecchio said the president’s legitimacy inside and outside Venezuela is unquestionable.
“This is demonstrated by the scope of the international tour. That balcony will soon honor his name,” he said.
