The coordinator of the Organization of American States (OAS) for the Venezuelan migrant and refugee crisis, David Smolansky, said Monday that a Unified Vaccination Card was approved for his fellow citizens abroad. The approval of this document was given during the III Regional Ministerial Meeting of Health that took place in Cúcuta, Colombia.
“This will allow sharing information between countries and avoiding revaccination. Good example of common policy in the region, ”Smolansky said in his personal Twitter account.
During his stay in the city, the OAS coordinator toured the Erasmo Meoz University Hospital and was able to confirm that until July 31 of this year, 33,000 Venezuelans have been treated in the last 4 years. “76% of women who give birth are Venezuelan”, Smolansky added.
Similarly, the diplomatic representative of President (E) Juan Guaidó confirmed that there are already 4.3 million Venezuelan migrants and refugees. “From the OAS we continue to insist on the need to create the basis for a regional consensus that protects and integrates Venezuelans”, said the former mayor.
