Michael Kozak, Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, declared on the violation of human rights in Venezuela.
On International Human Rights Day, Kozak stressed that in the past year, Maduro’s dictatorship has ruthlessly violated the rights of those who oppose his regime, with special mention of Captain Acosta Arevalo and First Justice Advisor Fernando Albán.
“In the last year, we’ve seen hundreds unjustyfied arrests and we’re mourning the murdered in Venezuela: Captain Acosta Arevalo; Counselor Alban and more. How can you continue to support Maduro,” he said through his Twitter account.
The Assistant Secretary said the continent must unite about human rights and to end the crisis that Nicolás Maduro has created in Venezuela.
