MONÓMEROS S.A., in partnership with the Corporación Promotora de Excelencia Personal (PEP), held a Business Ethics Symposium, which sought to generate a debate among entrepreneurs on transparency in building better organizations.
The professional and educational coach, Edison Serje, explained that businessmen should use ethics as a compass on a daily basis and in any instance. “If ethics is the north, I’m definitely going there,” he said.
The forum was given as a space to explain to the community of Barranquilla how, through the presidency of Juan Guaidó, the processes of recovery of the company were initiated.
“MONOMEROS, the key to growth lies in ethics and transparency,” the experts stressed during the forum.
Carmen Hernandez, Chairwoman of the Board of MONOMEROS, explained that the company has to return to be the flagship company that was for Barranquilla, “has to return to be part of the community of transparent companies, practitioners of good corporate governance, resume compliance with our rules and procedures.”
“When you have responsibilities within a company, you are an element of the first order”, Jorge Yánes, General Manager of MONOMEROS.
For her part, the director of institutional relations, Pilar Yepez, celebrated the dynamics of the company “because they refer to good exercises to emulate”.
“It’s a very brave topic these days, someone has to do it. This MONOMEROS-Pep alliance is great,” said the executive director of the Botanical and Zoological Foundation of Barranquilla, Farah Ajami, who was part of the audience.
