The President of Colombia, Iván Duque, pledged support on Friday to the President (E) of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, for the accusations against him that link him with members of the band “Los Rastrojos”.
Duque explained that when President Guaidó visited Colombia earlier this year, his Venezuelan counterpart was “received and protected” in his territory.
“We facilitated his entry into Venezuelan territory”, he said.
The Colombian president highlighted Guaidó’s fight against the dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro. “Guaidó is a hero, a defender of democracy, of his people. He has had the courage to face a dictatorship that has persecuted all opponents.”
Duque asserted his support for the president of the National Assembly and said: “Beyond the explanations you can give, we offer unrestricted support to Venezuela to recover its freedom.”
On these accusations, the president in charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó clarified that he was not aware that some subjects who asked for some photos in Colombia were alias ‘El Brother’ and ‘El Menor’, leaders of the Los Rastrojos band.
