The United States ratified Tuesday the support of the Trump administration to the president in charge, Juan Guaidó, to achieve the restoration of democracy in Venezuela.
The U.S. representative for Venezuela, Elliott Abrams, indicated that “Juan Guaidó has our full support. We are with him as the leader of the Venezuelan people’s struggle to restore democracy.”
This message was shared by U.S. Department of State Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Michael Kozak, who on Monday stated that “the people of Venezuela deserve a united government against corruption, not a regime that steals and demands bribes to enrich itself. We will continue to support them in their quest to defeat corruption and return to a Venezuela with democracy that represents all.”
