The Venezuelan delegation before the Parliament of Mercusor (Parlasur) confirmed on Monday that Venezuela will remain in the regional body, after overcoming the differences that put in doubt the permanence before this parliament.
To reach this decision it was discussed with all sectors and member states of Mercosur so that the legitimacy and sovereignty of the Venezuelan people is respected, through their deputies of the National Assembly, who will remain in this instance raising their voice about everything that happens in our country.
This Monday at the Parlasur the legitimacy of the Venezuelan Parliament elected by the people in December 2015 was recognized. Venezuelan democracy and sovereignty were also respected.
The historic session took place at the Parlasur headquarters in Montevideo, Uruguay, and included the Venezuelan representation of Luis Emilio Rondón as president of the commission, along with deputies Adriana Pichardo, Rafael Veloz, Williams Dávila, Jesús Yánez, Óscar Ronderos, Daniel Antequera, José Gregorio Correa, Rafael Ramirez, Luis Loaiza, César Alonso, Williams Perez, Yul albour and Saúl Ortega.
