The illegitimate TSJ published a null and void decision by which it seeks to annul the partial reform of the Internal Rules of Procedure and Debate of the legitimate National Assembly approved in an extraordinary session last Tuesday.
The Constitutional Chamber intends to disregard the constitutional competence that the National Assembly has to exclusively to dictate its own rules of operation.
The current reform is forced by the persecution by the same Supreme Court of more than 30 deputies elected by the people.
Through null and unconstitutional rulings that violate parliamentary immunity, the illegitimate Supreme Court – as the executor arm of the regime’s repression – is persecuting, prosecuting, detaining or forcing main deputies into exile, so that they cannot exercise the representation that the Venezuelan people gave them.
This ruse goes hand in hand with the purchase of the consciences of some deputies who have betrayed their electors and intend to join the sessions of parliament and prevent the persecuted deputies from exercising their right to vote, in obvious coordination with the usurper regime.
Deputies José Gregorio Noriega, Luis Parra, José Brito, Adolfo Superlano and Conrado Pérez (Main), Leandro Domínguez and Jesús Gabriel Peña (Substitutes) have decided to betray the cause of freedom of our country and prosperity of our people. This struggle has left people dead, imprisoned, exiled and persecuted by the regime. They have thus betrayed the trust that Venezuelans placed in them with their vote in the last free election that our country had, that of our legitimate National Assembly.
Some of them are the ones who went to the regime’s illegitimate Supreme Court to pass the unconstitutional sentence. They betrayed the vote of the Venezuelan people by lending themselves to attempts to change the political composition of the National Assembly.
It has been precisely the defense of the will of the Venezuelan people by the vast majority of our deputies that has caused the regime to use its illegitimate Supreme Court to declare a non-existent contempt, to try to annul all the agreements and laws approved by the National Assembly, and to unconstitutionally call for a Constituent Assembly to have its own parliament, which was not elected by the vote of the people.
Having failed, he is now appealing again to his illegitimate Supreme Court to persecute deputies, to try to annul the partial reform of the internal regulations and to try to incorporate unprincipled deputies in future votes. This is part of the much-discussed Operation Scorpion.
This operation will continue, but from the National Legislative Power we point out that we will not allow the political composition of the parliament to be modified by means of the trap and the publication of null and void rulings produced by the same illegitimate TSJ that persecutes us and tramples on the National Constitution with every decision.
The only one who has the power to modify the composition of parliament is the people and it is to them that we owe and to whom we are defending ourselves. Neither the regime nor its Supreme Court can change or annul the approved reform of the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly.
The deputies who are subject to unconstitutional persecution will exercise the parliamentary representation that the people gave them and, on January 5th, 2020, the great majority of the democratic deputies will ratify Juan Guaidóå© as President of the National Assembly and President in charge of the Republic by virtue of the usurpation that persists.
