The president of the Permanent Commission of Foreign Policy of the National Assembly, Armando Armas, stated that the international tour carried out by President (E) Juan Guaidó has been successful and has reaffirmed the support of the international community to the proposal of free and transparent elections as a mechanism to solve the Venezuelan crisis.
“The international community has made clear the need to be able to move towards democracy through truly free and transparent elections,” said Armas during a press conference.
“It’s not that we should move up the presidential election, it’s what we’re owed them,” he said.
Similarly, Congressman Armas stated that the democratic countries of the world are aware of the electoral fraud that Nicolas Maduro’s dictatorship intends to carry out.
“This is what President (e) Juan Guaidó has talked about with his counterparts around the world. It is in our disposition to have an electoral process that is free, that is independent and with guarantees for Venezuelans”.
CNE NOMINATION COMMITTEE
Congressman Armando Armas took the opportunity to reiterate the call to civil society to run for the committee that will elect the next members of the National Electoral Council, who will have the task of convening a process with guarantees for Venezuelans.
“The constitutional steps to form the CNE’s nomination committee are being fulfilled,” said Armas, who in turn rejected the usurper regime’s maneuvers to declare an alleged “legislative omission”.
“They are trying to create a matrix of an alleged legislative omission to designate via Maduro’s TSJ a National Electoral Council (CNE) to carry out an election without political parties, other illegal or kidnapped parties and with the opposition they would like to have,” he said.
