The second vice-president of the National Assembly, Carlos Eduardo Berrizbeitia, celebrated on Wednesday that despite the attempt by officials of Nicolás Maduro’s regime to seize the facilities of the administrative headquarters of the Parliament, the Permanent Commissions of the National Assembly could be installed.
Berrizbeitia acknowledged all the brave deputies who prevented this new attempt of sabotage by the regime.
“The fact that the deputies of the National Assembly of Venezuela have been able to overcome the attempt of Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship to hijack the administrative headquarters of the NA, where the commissions are installed, is a clear demonstration that we will never give up and will continue to fight until we achieve freedom and reclaim democracy for the country,” he said.
Likewise, the parliamentarian issued a call to Venezuelan citizens, expressing that “they must remember that the great majority of the deputies of the NA fight daily for a better future, one where the dictatorship no longer exists.”
Likewise, Berrizbeitia added that we continue to work in all spaces, inside and outside Venezuela, to achieve the country’s freedom. “The international tour carried out by the President in charge of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, is proof of this, the democratic nations of the world reiterated their support for our struggle,” he ended.
