This Saturday, the first vice-president of the National Assembly, Juan Pablo Guanipa, after his arrival in Zulia called all Venezuelans and especially the Zulians, to a “rebellion of the Constitution”.
“We have a Constitution that we have respected, now those who have called themselves the fathers of that Constitution have constantly violated it, that Constitution is dead letter, that is why we are saying that we have to make a rebellion of the Venezuelan Constitution and that is an effort we are going to make,” he said.
He indicated that this year the policy of the Democratic Unity is to increase the pressure and that for that purpose they have achieved direct communication with various countries of the world that support Venezuela’s democratic struggle and for that purpose he asked for the support of the Venezuelan people.
Likewise, the deputy assured that they will continue to fight for the spaces of the National Assembly. However, he made it clear that “we cannot exhaust ourselves only in that struggle, and we will continue to fight for the integrity and institutionality of the Assembly and to return sovereignty to Venezuela, through the designation of a new NEC to achieve free presidential elections.”
On the other hand, the legitimate governor of Zulia, called on the Zulians to give “our effort, our support, our disposition, and our will to be able to defeat this dictatorship and one of the tools that this country has to be able to defeat the dictatorship is called Primero Justicia.”
Furthermore, he referred to the betrayal of a small group of deputies, who “had a price, whoever has a price does not fit in Primero Justicia. We have always been committed to Venezuela and if a small group of deputies made the decision to abandon the fight for freedom for money, let them assume their responsibility, they are puppets, they are puppets of Nicolas Maduro. Yesterday, Deputy Marquina demonstrated with an audio recording that the person behind everything is Nicolás Maduro.
He described Parra, Pérez and Brito as traitors, five times traitors, to the states that elected them, to the party that nominated them, to the Venezuelan homeland, to their families and to the friendship the party gave them. “You are going to the garbage dump of history,” he said.
He stressed that Primero Justicia is radically against this dictatorship and that is why they are being persecuted.
“That’s why this attitude of trying to finish off Primero Justicia, but I can tell you, you can take the (voting) card, you can take some initials, but you can’t take our conscience, you can’t take our will, you can’ take our want, you can’t take our commitment to Venezuela.
“We are going to demonstrate that we are not the product of a decree, of a little piece of paper, that they can’t take away the party from us because of a decision by the illegitimate Supreme Court, that this party is full of Venezuelan blood and in this case, Zulian blood that is willing to be spilled for the freedom of Venezuela,” he reiterated.
Also, the Zulia legislator emphasized that “here there is Primero Justicia for quite a while and that we are going to continue promoting all the processes to increase the political, social, institutional, military and international pressure that can be developed until there is a climate that allows a change in Venezuela.
For his part, youth leader Ybrahim Gutiérrez ratified the support of more than 100 Zulia leaders for the party. “The dictatorship’s insistence on ending Primero Justicia speaks, without a doubt, of our commitment to Venezuela, of the real commitment of our leaders to change our country. To those who decided to please and live with the regime, 30 million Venezuelans∫å© have the responsibility to make a profound statement to them, that they are traitors to Venezuela and to the years of struggle, and none of that makes us give up,” he concluded.
