The deputy to the National Assembly, José Guerra, urged members of the National Armed Forces (FAN) to join the process of restitution of democracy in Venezuela.
In this regard, the parliamentarian said that the update of the human rights report issued by the UN High Commissioner, Michelle Bachelet, “has been blunt in condemning the nature of the regime and its systematic violation of human rights in the country.”
Furthermore, Guerra asserted that the FAN cannot be the basis of a dictatorship. “We believe in a democratic Armed Forces, respectful of the rule of law.”
“We call on the Armed Forces to join the rescue of democracy. Here there is an oportunity, not for coups by states, not to promote undesirable situations, but to rescue the rule of law”, said the parliamentarian.
Likewise, he affirmed that the National Armed Forces cannot bear the rejection of the 80% that the usurper Nicolás Maduro has. “It is time for the Armed Forces to see itself and see the country, its children, its relatives, its soldiers in a situation of difficulty.”
“Our call is for the FAN to respect the Constitution and join the rescue of democracy, today kidnapped Maduro’s regime. That the FAN be proud to wear the military uniform, and be part of the solution and can be seen with pride by all Venezuelans”, said Guerra.
