National Assembly (AN) member, Miguel Pizarro, mentioned the warning by the International Migration Office (IOM). IOM denouncing the possible trafficking of minors on the border with Brazil, specifically in the state of Roraima.
According to figures handled by the parliamentarian, there are at least 30 thousand Venezuelans living there who have fled Venezuela due to the humanitarian crisis created by the Nicolás Maduro regime.
“Children are the most vulnerable part of the population and the main reason to continue fighting to solve this tragedy,” added the parliamentarian via Twitter.
Pizarro added that the millions of Venezuelans who have crossed the borders, “are exposed to discrimination, exploitation and human trafficking while seeking the future that this regime has denied them.”
