The plenary session of the Border Subcommittee attached to the Permanent Commission on Defense and Security of the National Assembly is working on the elaboration of an “Agreement that guarantees the security of the Nation” because the usurper regime has been condescending to the expansion and presence of irregular groups that exercise sovereignty in Venezuelan territory.
This was reported by the president of the aforementioned legislative body, deputy Karim Vera, who stressed that “from the Border Subcommittee we are working on an agreement that guarantees the security of the nation, today compromised by the usurper who is ceding sovereignty to the irregular and illegal criminal organizations that subjugate Venezuelan citizens at the borders.”
Parliamentarian Vera affirmed that sovereignty at the border is exercised by irregular groups, rather than by the authorities. She stressed that “before the permissive gaze of the Armed Forces, human trafficking, extortion, kidnapping, smuggling and other crimes abound.”
During the ordinary meeting held on Wednesday, the members of the Border Subcommittee, along with the technical team, presented proposals to be included in the agreement that, after being approved in that instance, will be taken to the plenary of the National Assembly to be discussed by the entire Venezuelan legislative chamber.
