Venezuela’s Presidential Commissioner for Foreign Affairs, Julio Borges, dedicated some words in gratitude to the interim presidency team for their accomplishnments at the Lima Group session.
Borges thanked the support and commitment of Venezuelans who work tirelessly and are part of the interim government for the recovery of democracy in Venezuela.
“We must continue to move forward and work together to achieve freedom,” he said through his social networks.
On Friday, the Lima Group issued a joint statement in which the organization reiterated that it supports Juan Guaidó as president in charge of Venezuela and the National Assembly as the country’s legitimate authority.
The countries of this group assured that they will support “the permanence of President Guaidó in the presidency in charge of the country, beyond January 5, 2020 and until the end of usurpation”.
