The Presidential Commissioner for Foreign Affairs of the Republic, Julio Borges, warned on Friday that the destabilization project of Maduro and Cuba is expanding throughout the region, in his opinion, action must be taken because no country is free to suffer what they live today in Ecuador and Colombia. He also said that the regime already assumes that it is the promoter of chaos, referring to Diosdado Cabello’s statements about the replication of Ecuador’s protests in Colombia.
“We saw how two days ago the regime said that the same thing that is now happening in Ecuador is coming to Colombia. After that statement, we see how yesterday violent events occur in Bogotá. All these outbreaks of destabilization are paid by Maduro and Cuba to divert attention from their regimes. If you don’t act, we can lose the entire region”, he warned.
The top international representative of the Guaidó government also said that it is a plan that Cuba used in the past. “During the 20th century, Fidel Castro decided to open fronts in Central America with guerrilla movements to destabilize those countries, the goal was to divert attention from his dictatorship and hide from view. This is the same strategy that Maduro appeals to today”, he said.
He also expressed concern about the capture of Venezuelans in Ecuador who were collecting information about President Lenin Moreno and warned that this pattern is likely to be repeated in other countries. He insisted that the Havana regime is the mastermind of this entire destabilization project, therefore, countries must take concrete measures to put more pressure on Díaz Canel and Raúl Castro.
Finally, he asked countries not to underestimate the scope of these actions and assured that the dictatorship of Venezuela is the main obstacle to the peace and progress of Latin America.
