The First Lady, Fabiana Rosales, voiced her support for the struggle of Venezuelan teachers, who have remained in the streets nationwide, demanding their labor rights for their future and that of millions of children in Venezuela.
“It is the education professionals who are responsible for training our children, in their hands is the future of the country. Education is a right enshrined in the Constitution that must be respected and this goes through the demands of teachers for a living wage.” she said.
Rosales denounced that the Venezuelan teachers are victims of a cruel and inhuman system that forces Venezuelans to emigrate and educators to leave the schools empty because of the misery resulting from the usurpation.
“We are committed to the rescue of the education system in our nation. The future of Venezuela depends on it. God bless you teachers!” she said.
