The Legitimate Government of Venezuela denounces the forced disappearance, at the hands of the regime, of the citizen Juan José Márquez, uncle of President (E) Juan Guaidó.
Márquez was accompanying the national leader on the plane when he arrived in Venezuela.
We hold Nicolás Maduro and Franco Quintero, security director of Maiquetía International Airport, responsible for Mr. Márquez’s physical integrity and demand his immediate release.
Mr. Márquez got off the plane together with the rest of the crew and after having passed Migration without event, he was retained by an alleged review that would be carried out by Seniat officials.
Taking advantage of the chaos at Maiquetía International Airport caused by the violence of the dictatorship, Mr. Márquez was illegally detained, while President (E) Guaidó met again with the Venezuelans who came to receive him.
Relatives of Mr. Marquez reported that he contacted them and told them that they only required him to sign some papers to be able leave and from that moment on he was not heard of again.
President Guaidó arrived this Tuesday in Venezuela, after the international tour he undertook in America and Europe three weeks ago.
