Leopoldo Lopez said on Monday that the goal of ending the usurpation is getting closer every day. He also highlighted the work of all members of the legitimate government of President (E) Juan Guaidó, who stand watch daily to ensure that democratic change is achieved in Venezuela.
“Every day we advance one more step toward our goal. Achieving the definitive cessation of usurpation requires efforts on all boards and last week we were able to advance on the international board. Thanks to the work of the Presidential Foreign Relations Commission, the French Senate approved a measure that urges the European Union to strengthen sanctions against those responsible for human rights violations in Venezuela”, López said.
López recalled that through the Solidarity Conference for Venezuelan Migrants and Refugees, held in Brussels, it was possible to increase humanitarian aid to attend to those who flee from Nicolás Maduro’s regime and find themselves in a critical situation outside their homeland.
López also thanked the President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, for officially joining the list of countries that recognize Guaidó’s legitimate government. In addition, he stressed that Bukele has expelled the “diplomatic corps of the dictatorship for being accomplices of the usurper.”
“My recognition once again to the work of the Presidential Commission on Foreign Relations and to each representative of the Legitimate Government in the world for these advances that mean one more step against the violation of human rights in Venezuela and in favor of the restoration of democracy in our country”, López concluded.
