The president in charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, expressed his solidarity with the government of the Bahamas and its people, after the devastating damages and human losses caused by the powerful hurricane Dorian during its passage through the island.
“Our prayers are with you and we harbor the desire for a speedy recovery,” Guaidó said in a message on the social network Twitter.
Likewise, the first president of Venezuela, expressed his gratitude to the Bahamas for accompanying Venezuelans in the struggle to recover the country’s freedom.
Hurricane Dorian, a category 5 cyclone on the Saffir-Simpson scale with sustained winds of 295 kilometers per hour, has swept the Bahamas. There is talk of a general devastation of the archipelago.
The death toll caused by Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas climbed from 7 to 20 people, a figure that could still increase, announced the health minister of the Caribbean archipelago, Duane Sands.
