The president in charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaido, announced the appointment of the deputy of the National Assembly, Miguel Pizarro, as Presidential Commissioner to the United Nations Organization, who will have the task of continuing to increase diplomatic pressure on Maduro’s dictatorship.
Furthermore, President Guaidó reiterated “we have formed a delegation that will represent our Government and all Venezuelans next week before the 74th General Assembly of the United Nations.”
The delegation sent to the United Nations will be headed by the Commissioner for Foreign Relations, Julio Borges, the Ambassador to the US, Carlos Vecchio, as well as deputies. Victims of the repression of the regime will also participate.
Furthermore, the Head of State indicated that the delegation has the mandate to build agreements with the world’s foremost leaders to increase pressure against the dictatorship and support the people of Venezuela in the face of the severe crisis in our country.
During their stay in New York, the delegates of the presidency in charge of Venezuela will participate in different forums inside and outside the United Nations, which will include in the agenda the following points: Lima Group Summit, meeting with International Contact Group, meeting of TIAR foreign ministers, bilateral meetings with delegations from different States and working meetings to make visible the Humanitarian Emergency, migration and human rights violations.
