The President in charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, thanked the European Parliament for its strong support after the approval of a resolution condemning the attempted coup d’état against the National Assembly.
“Strong support from the European Parliament not only for the National Assembly and the Presidency in charge, but also for all of Venezuela, which today needs solutions,” said the head of state in a message published on Twitter.
The resolution that ratifies the recognition of Guaidó as the president (in charge) of Venezuela also includes the initiation of new steps to promote sanctions against Maduro’s dictatorship.
“We have international recognition and more pressure is being put on the dictatorship. We appreciate the support,” he concluded.
