The president in charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, said that the decision taken by several democratic parties to support him to continue serving as president of the National Assembly and in charge of Venezuela, until the usurpation finally ceases, ratifies the “political maturity” of the democratic unit that “evolved from an electoral unit to be a political cause, a unity and union of a cause”, Guaido said.
In this regard, the president added that “here nobody is thinking about a date or a position, here we are all thinking about the cessation of usurpation”, he added.
“If the regime was thinking of confusing us or trying to distract us, it did not achieve it nor will it succeed”, said President (e) Guaido.
ON THE BACHELET REPORT
Regarding the update of the report issued by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, Guaido said that “in a clumsy manner today the regime ratifies what we have been denouncing, everything Maduro does is to distract, it is ridiculous”.
“We will remain in all spaces not to make the crisis visible, that is very clear worldwide, the time for rhetoric is over, the regime did not comply with the recommendations of the UN Human Rights Council”, added the Venezuelan president .
“Maduro’s parody dictatorship is a tragedy, the situation has worsened in Venezuela from what was said in the initial Bachelet report to the update that was released yesterday”, he added.
SANCTIONS AGAINST CORRUPTS AND VIOLATORS OF HUMAN RIGHTS
The President (E) of the Republic also confirmed that the sanctions issued by the international community are aimed directly against Maduro’s regime and those who support it, and not on the Venezuelan people, on the contrary.
“We aim the pressure on corrupt and human rights violators and those who collaborate with the regime, during the transition in Venezuela will be subject to guarantees, the pressures isolate the human rights violators, the corrupt, who allow irregular groups to operate here in Venezuelan territory”, Guaidó added.
Likewise, the president said that “all civil and military officials who collaborate with the restitution of the constitutional order in Venezuela, will be granted guarantees to favor and facilitate the transition process in Venezuela.”
