The president in charge, Juan Guaidó recognized the fight of Congressman Juan Requesens in the defense of the rights of Venezuelans and democracy. The congressman is in the middle of an illegitimate trial against him and totals 525 days since he has been kidnapped by the usurper regime.
“Our brother, Congressman Juan Requesens, is testimony to the persecution of the dictatorship of the National Parliament and the violations of Human Rights in Venezuela,” said the interim president.
A biased and unfair trial on a murder charge continued Tuesday, as Requesens’ defense attorney Joel Garcia called it. The case of the Venezuelan deputy is a clear abuse of fundamental rights, as well as the flagrant violation of parliamentary immunity.
“Requesens also represents the dignity of our deputies by representing and defending Venezuelans,” Guaidó said.
