The President of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, thanked this Friday the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for supporting the democratic struggle that seeks to rescue Venezuela from the hands of Nicolas Maduro’s regime.
“We thank the USAID Agency for supporting the rescue of democracy in Venezuela, the attention to the emergency,” said the president through his personal Twitter account.
Guaidó also recalled the U.S. agency’s clarification on the administration of the resources given to the country.
“It is important to clarify this given the disinformation promoted by the dictatorship, the funds they have made available are managed by NGOs and civil society groups,” he ended.
The Venezuelan leader met last Thursday with USAID administrator Mark Green, where they ratified the union between the agency and the interim government.
