This Tuesday, a delegation from the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) will visit Venezuela at the invitation of the Legitimate Government, presided over by Juan Guaidó.
The president stressed that despite the torture, political prisoners, persecution of union leaders, deputies and the press, the struggle for democracy remains intact, and the violent reality that Venezuelans are living is an impetus to move forward and achieve freedom.
Guaidó ratified the visit of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) to Venezuela, with the aim of confirming the systematic violation of the rights of the country’s citizens.
The Head of State reported that Venezuela is a member of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Inter-American system, so Maduro’s dictatorship cannot prevent the IACHR from entering the country.
“If the dictatorship prevents the IACHR Commission from entering the country, it would be violating international treaties and ratifying that human rights are being violated in our country,” he said.
