The President (E) of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, ratified on Tuesday the measures taken by the National Assembly (NA) to fight corruption and actions that violate Venezuelan laws through investigations.

“We have risen immediately, as a sign that we do not tolerate any act of this nature,” Guaidó stressed through his personal Twitter account.

The also president of the parliament, recalled that the regime of Nicolas Maduro and Hugo Chavez add up 20 years and 400 billion dollars in property damage without investigation. This is how he described as “serious” and “transparent” the investigation promoted by the assembly to identify those involved in acts of corruption.

“The corruption that has plagued our country for years has Venezuelans dying of hunger and without medicines. As a society, we have to say ‘enough is enough!’ As public officials who have sworn to protect the people of Venezuela, we cannot allow it,” Guaidó concluded.

The NA investigation began with the publication of a research paper from the Armandoinfo web news portal, which claims that some parliamentarians conduct transactions before the Colombian Attorney General’s Office or the U.S. Treasury Department to issue letters of good conduct on behalf of individuals involved in the CLAP corruption network scandal.
