The president in charge of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, demanded on Monday the immediate release of the deputy to the National Assembly, Juan Requesens, kidnapped by Maduro’s dictatorship.
“The UN working group on arbitrary detentions was clear in its resolution. Juan Requesens has been kidnapped and must be released immediately,” said the head of state in a message posted through his official Twitter account.
In this regard, President Guaidó added that “Venezuela as a member of the UN must abide by this decision.”
“Maduro pretends to be deaf, he is a dictator. After 16 months of kidnapping, he calls for an illegal trial. It is a process based on lies,” he added.
Faced with this injustice, the President (E) of Venezuela urged the Venezuelan people to express their rejection and demand his release.
“Record a vertical video with a 30-second message, where you express your rejection of this unjust detention and demand his immediate release, using the hashtags #YoMeNiegoARendirme, #RequesensEnLibertad and #LaONUdecidió.”
